Summary
An Act To Authorize The Mississippi Development Authority To Designate Corporate Corridor Redevelopment Zones; To Authorize The Mississippi Development Authority To Certify Business Enterprises That Meet Certain Criteria And Are Located In Corporate Corridor Redevelopment Zones As Qualified Business Enterprises Under This Act; To Provide That Such Qualified Business Enterprises Shall Be Eligible For An Accelerated State Income Tax Depreciation Deduction, For Certain Sales Tax Exemptions And For A Fee-in-lieu Of Ad Valorem Taxes; To Amend Section 27-31-104, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize County Boards Of Supervisors And Municipal Governing Authorities To Grant A Fee-in-lieu Of Ad Valorem Taxes To Qualified Business Enterprises As Defined In This Act; To Amend Section 27-65-101, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Exempt From Sales Taxation Sales Of Materials Used In The Construction Of A Facility, Or Any Addition Or Improvement Thereon, And Sales Of Any Machinery And Equipment Not Later Than Three Months After The Completion Of Construction Of The Facility, Or Any Addition Thereon, To Be Used In The Facility, To Qualified Businesses As Defined In This Act; And For Related Purposes.
