An Act To Amend Section 37-28-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Reconstitute The Charter School Authorizer Board And To Establish The Terms Of Membership To Minimize The Impact On The Boards Ability To Operate; To Amend Section 37-28-11, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For An Annual Legislative Appropriation And Pins To The Charter School Authorizer Board For The Support Of Its Operation; To Amend Section 37-28-37, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Peer Committee To Perform Bi-annual Reviews Of The Mississippi Charter School Program; To Amend Section 37-28-55, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Modify The Formula For Calculating The Amount Of Pro Rata Ad Valorem Funds To Be Paid To The Charter Schools By Local School Districts In Order To Ensure Both Schools Are Receiving Equitable Funding; And For Related Purposes.
