Summary

An Act To Amend Section 83-21-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Gross Premiums Charged For Independently Procured Insurance Shall Not Be Passed Along To The Jackson, Harrison And Hancock Counties' Public School Districts; To Amend Section 83-21-25, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Tax That Is Paid By Surplus Lines Insurance Producers Shall Not Be Passed Along To Such Districts; To Amend Section 83-34-4, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Districts Shall Not Be Subject To The Nonadmitted Policy Fee If The Districts Directly Procure Or Renew Insurance With A Nonadmitted Insurer; To Bring Forward Sections 83-21-18, 83-21-19, 83-21-21, 83-21-23, 83-21-27 And 83-21-29, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
