Summary

An Act To Amend Section 73-7-21, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase The Number Of Hours Of Practice And Related Theory Required To Be Eligible To Receive A Nail Technician License; To Change The Name Of A Manicurist License To Nail Technician License; To Amend Section 73-7-19, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Delete The Authority To Pay For License Renewals Under The Cosmetology Licensure Law With Cash And Add The Authority To Pay For License Renewals By Credit Card Or Debit Card; To Provide That For The Renewal Of Practitioner Licenses, The Licensee Must Complete A One Hour Continuing Education Course On Sanitation Offered And Administered By The Board Of Cosmetology; To Amend Sections 73-7-2, 73-7-7, 73-7-12, 73-7-13, 73-7-14, 73-7-15, 73-7-23, 73-7-29 And 73-7-35, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Provisions; And For Related Purposes.
