Summary

An Act To Provide That Drug Task Forces Shall Regularly Collect Prescription Pills And Drugs Brought From Residential Sources And Transport The Pills And Drugs To The Incinerator Maintained By The Mississippi Bureau Of Narcotics For Disposal; To Create The Prescription Pill And Drug Disposal Fund As A Special Fund In The State Treasury; To Provide That The Fund Will Consist Of Monies Received From A State Assessment Imposed On Persons Convicted Of Violations Of The Controlled Substances Law; To Provide That Monies In The Fund Shall Be Used By The Bureau Of Narcotics For Making Grants To Drug Task Forces To Help Defray The Costs Of Collection, Secure Storage And Transportation For Disposal Of Prescription Pills And Drugs Brought From Residential Sources; To Amend Section 99-19-73, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Impose A State Assessment On Persons Convicted Of Violations Of The Controlled Substances Law For Deposit Into The Prescription Pill And Drug Disposal Fund; To Amend Section 25-7-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Preceding Provisions; And For Related Purposes.
