Summary
An Act To Amend Section 37-3-2, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide The Processing For Aggrieved Licensed Teachers And Administrators Employed By The Mississippi School For The Arts, Mississippi School For The Blind, Mississippi School For The Deaf And Mississippi School Of Mathematics And Science Whose License Have Been Revoked Or Suspended To Make An Appeal Of The Disciplinary Decision Directly To The Chancery Court Of The First Judicial District Of Hinds County, Mississippi; To Provide For The Immediate Denial Of Licensure To Applicants Whose Certificate Or Licenses Has Been Revoked, Suspended Or Surrendered By Another State Until All Records In That Disciplinary Action Have Been Cleared; To Require A One-year Mandatory Suspension Of Licensure For Superintendents, Principals And Licensed Educational Employees Who Arbitrarily Or Willfully Breach His Or Her Contract Or Abandon Employment Without Being Released; To Provide For The Suspension Or Revocation Of A License For Violations Of The Mississippi Educator Code Of Ethics - Standards Of Conduct Adopted By The State Board Of Education; To Amend Section 37-9-57, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
