Summary
An Act To Amend Section 43-21-605, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That If The Youth Court Places A Youth In A Youth Detention Center And/or Mental Health Facility, The Court Shall Require Certain Behavioral Assessments Be Performed On The Youth; To Provide That Before Any Medication Is Prescribed For A Youth Who Is Not On Medication For Behavioral And Mental Health Issues, The Youth Shall Receive A Second Independent Clinical Opinion From A Professional Who Is Not Affiliated, In Any Manner, With The Entity Providing The Initial Assessment; And For Related Purposes.
