Summary
An Act To Amend Section 47-7-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require An Inmate To Serve At Least One-third Of His Sentence Instead Of One-fourth Of His Sentence Before The Inmate May Become Eligible For Parole; To Provide That The Commissioner Of The Department Of Corrections Must Recommend To The State Parole Board That An Inmate Be Placed On Parole Before Such Inmate May Be Paroled; To Amend Sections 47-7-5 And 47-7-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
