Summary
An Act To Amend Section 47-7-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Requirement That At Least 15 Day Notice Be Given By The Director Of Records Of The Department Of Corrections To Certain Local Law Enforcement When An Offender Is To Be Released On Parole; To Reduce From 15 Days To 48 Hours The Time Period That A Victim Of An Offender, Or The Victim's Family, Must Be Notified By The Parole Board When The Offender Is To Be Released By The Board; To Amend Section 47-5-177, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; And For Related Purposes.
