Summary

An Act To Amend Section 27-19-44, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Exempt The Distinctive Motor Vehicle License Tag For Persons Who Served In The United States Armed Forces And Were Awarded Certain Medals For Service In, Or Support Of Operations In, Afghanistan From The Requirement That A Minimum Number Be Purchased In Order For The Department Of Revenue To Prepare And Issue The Distinctive License Tag; To Amend Section 27-19-56.187, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Authorizes The Issuance Of The Distinctive Motor Vehicle License Tag For Those Persons Who Received Certain Medals For Service In Afghanistan, To Reflect The Change In The State Tax Commission's Name To "department Of Revenue" Under The Agency's 2009 Reorganization; And For Related Purposes.
