Summary
An Act To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require An Additional Amount Of The Total Sales Tax Revenue Collected On Business Activities In Municipalities To Be Diverted To Municipalities Within The State; To Provide That Such Increase Shall Be Implemented Only If Sales Tax Revenue Collections Increase A Certain Amount; To Designate Such Diversion Of Revenue As The Additional Sales Tax Revenue For The Municipal Infrastructure Program; To Provide That Revenue Received By A Municipality Under Such Program Shall Not Be Considered By A Municipality As General Fund Revenue And May Be Expended Solely For Water And Sewer System Projects And Road, Street And Bridge Repair, Reconstruction And Resurfacing Projects; And For Related Purposes.
