Summary

An Act To Amend Section 43-15-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Department Of Child Protection Services To Place A Child In The Least Restrictive Placement Available; To Mandate The Placement Preference For A Child; To Require The Department Of Child Protection Services, Upon Taking A Child Into Custody, To Conduct A Search For Adult Relatives Of The Child And Persons With A Significant Relationship To The Child; To Require The Department Of Child Protection Services To Provide All Relatives And Persons With A Significant Relationship To The Child Identified In The Search With Notice That The Child Has Been Or Is Being Placed In The Custody Of The Department; And For Related Purposes.
