An Act To Amend Sections 37-68-3, 37-68-5, 37-68-7, 37-68-9, 37-68-11, 37-68-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Provide For The Equity In Distance Learning Act, To Update And Revise Certain Provisions Related Thereto; To Revise Certain Definitions; To Provide That Subject To Appropriations, Schools Shall Be Eligible For State Matching Funds To Replace Personal Learning Devices Which Have Reached The End Of Their Useful Life And To Pay For Necessary Software; To Set Certain Requirements Related To Grant Applications; To Provide That Schools Are Highly Encouraged To Use One-time Federal Funds, Where Available, As The Matching Funds Required Under The Act; To Amend Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Exempt The Purchases Under The Grant Program From Certain Bidding Requirements; To Repeal Section 37-68-15, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Required The Department Of Education To Provide A Report By October 1, 2020; And For Related Purposes.
