Summary
An Act To Amend Section 67-1-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Define The Term "retail Food Store"; To Amend Section 67-1-51, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Department Of Revenue To Issue Retail Food Store Wine Only Retailer's Permit That Authorizes The Holder Thereof To Sell Wine At Retail At A Retail Food Store In Original Sealed And Unopened, Packages Not To Be Consumed On The Premises Where Sold; To Provide That The Holder Of A Package Retailer's Permit May Sell Other Products And Merchandise, Except Beer, But Must Derive At Least Fifty Percent Of The Revenue Of The Licensed Premises From The Retail Sale Of Alcoholic Beverages In Original Sealed And Unopened Packages Not To Be Consumed On The Licensed Premises; To Amend Section 27-71-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide The License Tax Required For Retail Food Store Wine Only Retailer's Permits; To Amend Sections 67-1-41, 67-1-75, 67-1-83 And 67-1-85, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; To Bring Forward Section 67-1-67, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Relates To The Transfer Of Permits Under The Local Option Alcoholic Beverage Control Law; And For Related Purposes.
