Summary
An Act To Amend Section 49-15-46, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Commission On Marine Resources To Establish A Shell Recovery And Replenishment Program For The Purpose Of Management, Improvement, Enhancing And Replenishing Of Oysters In This State, Including, But Not Limited To, Replenishing Shells; To Provide That The Commission Shall Have The Authority To Establish Rules And Regulations And Per Sack Assessments To Establish And Fund The Program; To Amend Section 49-15-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Establish A Special Account In The Seafood Fund To Be Known As The "shell Recovery And Replenishment Account" And To Require The Assessments Authorized By This Act To Be Deposited Into The Account; To Amend Section 49-15-63, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide Penalties For Violations Of The Program; And For Related Purposes.
