Summary

A Concurrent Resolution Suspending The Deadlines For The Purpose Of Requesting The Drafting, Introduction, Consideration And Passage Of A Bill Entitled "an Act To Transfer Out Of The Budget Contingency Fund The Sum Of $562,000,000.00 To The Mississippi Development Authority Pursuant To The Federal Cares Act Regulations Dated May 28, 2020, Which Mandate That 45% Of The State's Total Allotment Shall Be Reserved For Direct Payments To Units Of Local Governments; To Direct The Mississippi Development Authority To Develop A Grant Program To Distribute Such Funds To Local Governments Consistent With Such Regulations For Any Expenses Related To The Covid-19 Public Health Emergency That Have Been Incurred Or Will Be Incurred By Local Governments, Including, But Not Limited To, Expenses For Public Safety, Public Health, Health Care, Human Services, Hazard Pay For Individuals, And Personal Protective Equipment; And For Related Purposes."
