House Bill 1000

AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 37-53-1 THROUGH 37-53-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROVIDE FOR SUMMER NORMALS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Sections 37-53-1, 37-53-3, 37-53-5 and 37-53-7, which provide for summer normals, are repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2016.
