House Bill 1141
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITY OF A MUNICIPALITY AND THE BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS OF A COUNTY TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING AND/OR FUNDING AN INTERVENTION COURT TO ALLOW THE RESIDENTS OF THE MUNICIPALITY AND COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN SUCH INTERVENTION COURT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authority of a municipality and the boards of supervisors of a county may enter into an interlocal agreement for the purpose of establishing and/or funding an intervention court to allow the residents of the municipality and county to participate in such intervention court.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2020.
