AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COVINGTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO USE ITS INDUSTRIAL PARK LAND AND BUILDINGS  FOR THE LOCATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A COUNTY JAIL; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Covington County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may use the industrial park land and buildings within its economic development district, or a part thereof, that was acquired by it pursuant to Section 19-5-99, Mississippi Code of 1972, for the location and construction of a county jail, related facilities and other county buildings.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
