House Bill 1711

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO AND PROVIDE IN-KIND SERVICES FOR MAINTENANCE TO THE BEULAH CEMETERY; TO PROVIDE THAT COMMUNITY SERVICE OR INMATE LABOR MAY BE USED FOR SUCH MAINTENANCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in their discretion, may contribute general municipal funds to, and provide in-kind services for maintenance to the Beulah Cemetery.  The maintenance provided for in this section may be performed by the use of community service or inmate labor, or both.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2027.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
