AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TALLAHATCHIE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO APPROPRIATE COUNTY FUNDS TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A FAMILY MASTER FOR THE CHANCERY COURT OF THE COUNTY; TO AUTHORIZE THE SENIOR CHANCELLOR OF THE COUNTY TO NAME A QUALIFIED INDIVIDUAL TO SERVE AS THE FAMILY MASTER FOR THE COURT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to appropriate funds from any available general funds of the county to retain a family master for its chancery court.
(2) For the retention of a family master, as authorized under this section, the senior chancellor of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, is authorized to name a qualified individual to serve as the family master.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
