AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ADAMS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO A LEASE-PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR A TERM NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY YEARS FOR THE LEASE PURCHASE OF A JAIL FACILITY WITHIN THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Adams County, Mississippi, in its discretion and pursuant to Section 31-8-1, et seq., Mississippi Code of 1972, is authorized to enter into a lease-purchase agreement and such agreement may be for a term not to exceed thirty (30) years for the lease purchase of a jail facility within the county.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
