House Bill 696
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF YALOBUSHA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONSTRUCT A NEW COUNTY JAIL ANYWHERE WITHIN THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19-7-1, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any other provisions of law to the contrary, the Board of Supervisors of Yalobusha County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to construct a new county jail anywhere within the county.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
