Senate Bill 2679
AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF GENERAL FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS AND ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS; AND TO PAY EXPENSES OF SPECIAL JUDGES, CHANCELLORS AND CIRCUIT JUDGES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Department of Finance and Administration, for the purpose of paying salaries, travel and tort claim assessment expenses of district attorneys, assistant district attorneys and criminal investigators of the state for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011......... $ 1,420,742.00.
SECTION 2. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Supreme Court for the purpose of paying the expense of special judges, chancellors and circuit judges for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 2011................................. $ 2,053,931.00.
SECTION 3. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011.
