Senate Bill 2959

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SUNFLOWER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE FANNIE LOU HAMER CANCER FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Sunflower County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute an amount not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) annually, out of any available funds of the county, to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation, which operates a center for providing education regarding the prevention  and protection from cancer.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
