AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE UP TO $15,000.00 ANNUALLY TO BUT GOD MINISTRIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute money from the general fund of the county to But God Ministries in an amount not to exceed a collective total sum or value of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) annually, upon such terms the board deems to be in the best interest of the county, and provided that said entity has maintained its status as a 501(c)(3) or similar organization under the laws, rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service, has filed legally required tax returns in a timely fashion and provided proof of the same to the board of supervisors, and uses the donated funds in Coahoma County.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after September 30, 2021.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
