A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to provide that the Program Evaluation Division of the North Carolina General Assembly shall study EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNITY COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Joint Legislative Program Evaluation Oversight Committee shall include in the 2010‑2011 Work Plan for the Program Evaluation Division of the General Assembly a study of the most efficient and effective way to administer the local community colleges system. In the course of the study, the Program Evaluation Division shall consider the advisability of consolidating community college administration and strategies for ensuring access for students. The Program Evaluation Division shall submit the study to the Joint Legislative Program Evaluation Oversight Committee, the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee, and the Fiscal Research Division no later than June 15, 2011.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
