A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to provide that the clerk of superior court notify the administrative office of the courts when a superior court session ends early.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Article 12 of Chapter 7A of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:
"§ 7A‑115. Notification when a superior court session ends early.
The clerk of superior court shall notify the Administrative Office of the Courts whenever a session of superior court ends early to ensure that the superior court judge presiding may be reassigned to another district if necessary."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
