A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to appropriate funds for children's advocacy centers.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund or from any available federal Block Grant funds to the Department of Health and Human Services the sum of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) for the 2015‑2016 fiscal year for child advocacy centers. The funds shall be allocated as follows:
(1) Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) to be allocated equally among each of the 30 fully certified child advocacy centers in this State.
(2) Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to be allocated to Children's Advocacy Centers of North Carolina, Inc., to hire a quality improvement and development coordinator.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2015.
