A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to restore funding for state assistance to county veterans service programs.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 165‑6(9) is reenacted as it existed immediately prior to its repeal in Section 30.1 of S.L. 2014‑100.

SECTION 2.  Of the funds appropriated to the Division of Veterans Affairs of the Department of Administration for the 2014‑2015 fiscal year, the sum of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) shall be used to make contributions to counties for the maintenance and operation of county veterans service programs pursuant to G.S. 165‑6(9).

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
