AN ACT relative to requiring a roll call vote when one member of a public body participates electronically.

ANALYSIS
This bill eliminates the requirement that when a member of a public body is participating in a meeting by electronic or other means of communication, all votes must be by roll call vote.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
AN ACT relative to requiring a roll call vote when one member of a public body participates electronically.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Right-to-Know Law; Meetings Open to the Public. Amend RSA 91-A:2, III(e) to read as follows:
(e) A member participating in a meeting by the means described in this paragraph is deemed to be present at the meeting for purposes of voting. [All votes taken during such a meeting shall be by roll call vote.]
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2021.
