STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT relative to funding for housing projects by the New Hampshire housing finance authority.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Housing Finance Authority; Market Study Required. Amend RSA 204-C by inserting after section 8-b the following new section:
204-C:8-c Market Study Required. Before the authority funds a housing project under this chapter, the authority shall conduct a market study to assess the need for a housing project in the proposed location. The authority shall not fund the project unless the study supports the need for the housing project in the community and geographic location in which it will be placed.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
