AN ACT relative to compensation of members of the New Hampshire legislature.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill requires that payment of legislator compensation be made in  quarterly payments at the completion of each 6 months of service during the biennium.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT relative to compensation of members of the New Hampshire legislature.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Legislative Officers; Payment of Compensation.  Amend RSA 14 by inserting after section 1 the following new section:

14:1-a  Payment of Legislator Compensation.  The compensation for members of the house of representatives and senate provided for in part II, article 15 of the New Hampshire constitution shall be paid to each member in quarterly payments made at the completion of each 6 months of service during the biennium for which the member was elected.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
