HB 642 FISCAL NOTE
AN ACT requiring the departments of health and human services and administrative services to jointly issue a certain request for information.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Administrative Services states this bill will increase state general fund expenditures by $15,000 in FY 2011. There will be no fiscal impact on county and local expenditures, or state, county, and local revenue.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department of Administrative Services assumes it would utilize a benefits consultant to prepare the Request for Information (RFI). The Department states it does not have the staff expertise to determine the pricing and administrative specifications for preparation of the RFI. The Department estimated a cost of $15,000 based on other consultant projects it has paid for in the past, but indicated it would not be able to cover the cost from existing appropriations.
The Department of Health and Human Services states it would perform its responsibilities under this bill utilizing existing resources.
