An Act concerning student participation in public school district extracurricular activities and supplementing chapter 42 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. A board of education shall not charge a student, or the student's parent or legal guardian, a fee to participate in extracurricular activities.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill prohibits a board of education from charging a student, or the student's parent or legal guardian, a fee to participate in extracurricular activities.
