Makes supplemental appropriation of $500,000 to DMVA for New Jersey SOS Veterans Stakeholders Group.

A Supplement to the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, P.L.2022, c.49.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2022, c.49, the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, there is appropriated from the General Fund the following amount for the purpose specified:

VETERANS AFFAIRS
80 Special Government Services
83 Services to Veterans
3610 Veterans' Program Support
GRANTS-IN-AID
50-3610 Veterans' Outreach and Assistance ....................... $500,000

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill provides a supplemental appropriation of $500,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs to the New Jersey SOS Veterans Stakeholders Group. The New Jersey Veterans Stakeholders Group serves veterans by providing financial assistance, housing support, emergency transportation, benefits counseling, and other services. Their goal is to help veterans in the community improve their quality of life. They also provide a platform to bring and engage other veteran service providers in the community to help veterans.
