     Requires Division of Consumer Affairs to maintain database concerning retail motor fuel dealers.

An Act requiring the Division of Consumer Affairs to collect and provide certain information concerning retail motor fuel dealers, and supplementing P.L.1938, c.163 (C.56:6-1 et seq.).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The Division of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Law and Public Safety shall create and maintain a database containing the names and locations of every premises in this State where motor fuel is sold by a retail dealer.  The database shall be updated at least monthly and include, but not be limited to, information regarding: a.  the types of motor fuel sold by the retail dealer; and b.  whether that retail dealer possesses back-up generating equipment on site.

 

     1[2. During the existence of a state of energy emergency, as declared by the Governor pursuant to section 15 of P.L.1977, c.146 (C.52:27F-17), the Division of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Law and Public Safety shall make available to the public, through its official website, the following information:

     a.     the name and location of every premises operated by a retail dealer that is open and selling motor fuel;

     b.    the amount of inventory in stock, reported in gallons, for each type of motor fuel available for sale; and

     c.     the time and date of the issuance of this information.]1

 

     1[3.] 2.1     This act shall take effect on the first day of the third month next following enactment.
