Authorizes State Treasurer to sell as surplus certain real property and improvements in Township of Hillsborough in Somerset County.

An Act authorizing the State Treasurer to sell certain surplus real property and improvements owned by the State in the Township of Hillsborough, County of Somerset.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. The Department of the Treasury, on behalf of the Department of Children and Families, is authorized to sell and convey, as surplus real property, all of the State's right, title, and interest in and to the property located at 1600 Brooks Boulevard, the former Hillsborough Social Services Office, in the Township of Hillsborough, County of Somerset, which contains 4.30 acres of land and improvements also known as Block 65.04, Lot 2.01 on the tax map of the Township of Hillsborough. The property shall be sold and conveyed to the 1Borough of]1 Manville 1Board of Education1, County of Somerset, for the appraised value of $870,000. If the sale to the 1[Borough of]1 Manville 1Board of Education1 does not occur, the Department of the Treasury shall sell and convey the property to the highest bidder through Internet auction with the appraised value of $870,000 as the minimum bid price.
b. The sale and conveyance authorized by subsection a. of this section shall be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
