Requires long-term care facilities to stock and provide COVID-19 antiviral treatments to residents.

An Act concerning COVID-19 antiviral treatments in long-term care facilities and supplementing Title 26 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. Each long-term care facility shall maintain an adequate supply of antiviral treatment for COVID-19 on site for its residents. The long-term care facility shall provide any resident, who has tested positive for COVID-19 and is symptomatic, antiviral treatment for COVID-19.
b. As used in this section, "long-term care facility" means a nursing home or assisted living residence licensed pursuant to P.L.1971, 41 c.136 (C.26:2H-1 et seq.).
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires long-term care facilities to stock and provide COVID-19 antiviral treatments to their residents.
Under this bill, a long-term care facility will maintain an adequate supply of antiviral treatment for COVID-19 on site for its residents. The long-term care facility will provide any resident, who has tested positive for COVID-19 and is symptomatic, antiviral treatment for COVID-19. The bill defines "long-term care facility" to mean a nursing home or assisted living residence licensed pursuant to P.L.1971, 41 c.136 (C.26:2H-1 et seq.).
