An Act concerning fee increases for holders of certain licenses and supplementing P.L.1974, c.46 (C.45:1-3.1 et seq.)
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Notwithstanding the provisions of P.L.1974, c.46 (C.45:1-3.1 et seq.) and regulations promulgated pursuant to that law or any other law to the contrary, the Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs or a board named in section 1 of P.L.1974, c.46 (C.45:1-3.1) shall not, by rule, increase the charges for examinations, licensures and other services it performs by more than 10 percent during any two-year period without prior authorization from the State Comptroller.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill stipulates that the Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs and the various occupational and professional boards located within the Division of Consumer Affairs under Title 45 of the Revised Statutes shall not, by rule, increase the charges for examinations, licensures and other services it performs by more than 10 percent during any two-year period without prior authorization from the State Comptroller.
