SYNOPSIS
Requires food access information be displayed on websites of 2-1-1 system and executive branch departments during public health emergencies to the extent practicable.

An Act concerning public health emergencies and supplementing P.L.2005, c.222 (C.26:13-1 et seq.).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Throughout the duration of a public health emergency declared pursuant to P.L.2005, c.222 (C.26:13-1 et seq.), to the extent practicable, information concerning food access programs and resources shall be prominently displayed on the main website of the Statewide 2-1-1 system and of each executive branch department. In addition, to the extent practicable, the Statewide 2-1-1 system and the executive branch departments shall disseminate information concerning food access programs and resources using social media and any other means deemed appropriate to reach as many individuals and population groups in the State as possible.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires the Statewide 2-1-1 system and all executive branch departments, to the extent practicable, to prominently display information concerning food access programs and resources through their main websites and social media throughout the duration of any declared public health emergency. The 2-1-1 system and the departments may further disseminate the information using any other means deemed appropriate to reach as many individuals and population groups in the State as possible.
