     Prohibits institutions of higher education from requiring students to receive COVID-19 vaccination.

An Act concerning COVID-19 vaccination requirement in higher education and supplementing Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes. 

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    This act shall be known and may be cited as the "COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement Prohibition Act for Higher Education."

 

     2.    An institution of higher education shall not require a student to receive a vaccination against COVID-19, or present evidence of such vaccination, as a condition of: enrollment in the institution; attendance of courses taught at the institution; attendance of courses taught at the institution; or participation in any program sponsored by the institution. 

 

     3.    This act shall take effect immediately. 

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill, which will be known as the "COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement Prohibition Act for Higher Education," prohibits an institution of higher education from requiring a student to receive a vaccination against COVID-19, or presenting evidence of such vaccination, as a condition of: enrollment in the institution; or participation in any program sponsored by the institution.
