Summary

To protect victims of domestic violence by: (i) expanding the definition of "members of the same family or household"; (ii) increasing punishment for domestic assaults committed against a family or household member; and (iii) requiring the court, when determining application for bailor recognizance, to consider a defendant's history of violence, record of any prior orders of protection, and disobedience of an order, mandate or process of any court.
