          to the Committee on Election Law

        AN  ACT to amend the election law, in relation to websites maintained by
          a board of elections

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The election law is amended by adding a new section 3-228
     2  to read as follows:
     3    § 3-228. Board of elections websites. Any  board  of  elections  which
     4  maintains a website shall use a ".gov" domain name for such website.
     5    §  2. This act shall take effect one year after it shall have become a
     6  law.
