STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 2691 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 26, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. BLUMENCRANZ -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring the secre- tary of state to notify local governments of new laws The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 93-b 2 to read as follows: 3 § 93-b. Publishing laws to local governments. The secretary of state 4 shall send via electronic mail a copy of all laws enacted on and after 5 January first, two thousand twenty-three, including a brief summary of 6 the law and its implementation requirements, to a representative of each 7 local government in the state. 8 § 2.
