STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 9891 IN ASSEMBLY April 22, 2016 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. GOTTFRIED -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to removing {123l} loflupane from the designation as a controlled substance The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph 4 of subdivision (b) of schedule II of section 2 3306 of the public health law, as added by chapter 664 of the laws of 3 1985, is amended to read as follows: 4 (4) Coca leaves and any salt, compound, derivative, or preparation of 5 coca leaves, and any salt, compound, derivative, or preparation thereof 6 which is chemically equivalent or identical with any of these substances 7 including cocaine and ecgonine, their salts, isomers, and salts of isom- 8 ers, except that the substances shall not include decocainized coca 9 leaves or extraction of coca leaves, which extractions do not contain 10 cocaine [or], ecgonine or {123l} ioflupane. 11 § 2.
