          printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on  Judici-
          ary
        AN  ACT  to amend the judiciary law, in relation to establishing a third
          county court judgeship in the county of Tompkins
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  50  of  section 182 of the judiciary law, as
     2  amended by chapter 125 of the laws  of  1970,  is  amended  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4     50. Tompkins, [two] three;
     5    §  2. A new office of judge of the county court of the county of Tomp-
     6  kins is hereby established. Each county court judge  in  the  county  of
     7  Tompkins,  in  office  or  hereafter  elected,  shall  also  act  as and
     8  discharge the duties of county court judge, judge of  the  family  court
     9  and surrogate of such county.
    10    §  3.  This  act shall take effect January 1, 2020; provided, however,
    11  that the additional office of county court  judge  created  pursuant  to
    12  this  act  shall  first  be filled at the general election to be held on
    13  November 6, 2019.
