STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 311 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN SENATE (Prefiled) January 6, 2021 ___________ Introduced by Sen. LIU -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend chapter 802 of the laws of 1947, relating to facilitat- ing the financing and effectuation of air terminals by the Port of New York Authority, in relation to prohibiting certain flights at LaGuar- dia airport The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Chapter 802 of the laws of 1947, relating to facilitating 2 the financing and effectuation of air terminals by the Port of New York 3 Authority, is amended by adding a new section 4-b to read as follows: 4 § 4-b. No nonstop flights to or from points beyond one thousand five 5 hundred miles, except on Saturdays and flights to Denver, Colorado, may 6 fly to or from LaGuardia airport, an air terminal of the Port Authority 7 of New York and New Jersey. 8 § 2. This act shall take effect upon the enactment into law by the 9 state of New Jersey of legislation having an identical effect with this 10 act, but if the state of New Jersey shall have already enacted such 11 legislation, this act shall take effect immediately; provided that the 12 chairman of the port authority of New Jersey shall notify the legisla- 13 tive bill drafting commission upon the occurrence of the enactment of 14 the legislation provided for in section one of this act in order that 15 the commission may maintain an accurate and timely effective database of 16 the official text of the laws of the state of New York in furtherance of 17 effectuating the provisions of section 44 of the legislative law and 18 section 70-b of the public officers law.
