KLEIN, HASSELL-THOMPSON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to enacting the "Homeland Security peace officer status act" THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Short title. This act shall be known and may be cited as 2 the "Homeland Security peace officer status act". 3 S 2. Section 2.15 of the criminal procedure law is amended by adding a 4 new subdivision 28 to read as follows: 5 28. FEDERAL PROTECTIVE SERVICE OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF 6 HOMELAND SECURITY POLICE OFFICERS, INSPECTORS AND SPECIAL AGENTS. 7 S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
