STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1900 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 17, 2023 ___________ Introduced by Sen. STAVISKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to allowing severely disabled individuals to renew parking permits without provid- ing updated medical records The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 1203-a of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 3 1-a. Any resident of New York state who is a severely disabled person, 4 as defined in subdivision four of section four hundred four-a of this 5 chapter, shall not be required to provide updated medical records upon 6 application for renewal of a permit issued pursuant to this section. 7 § 2.
